We all know there's only one way to be safe, and if you are going to have sex, you and your partner should be tested. don't think that by going for a physical or pap smear you're getting tested, you have to ask.

Whoever said abstinence was right on. The point is that condoms aren't a 100% effective, more like 75% at best, and you should be aware of that and not think you're safe, cause you're NOT! You should be aware of who you're sleeping with. You should know them well enough to know if they have an STD. You should know them well enough to discuss other forms of birth control. (Birth control pill is 99.9% effective under perfect use, 97% under typical) You shouldn't just be sleeping with "some bitch" if you want to be safe. This is your life I'm talking about.
