Author: Lou's Secretary
Subject: I think Ms. Lou explained herself perfectly. What you call "fact" is actually "spinning." Your view is no more "fact" than Lou's view. Is that sufficient explanation or do you need more?

That's it, exactly.

You're very welcome, Ms. Lou. ..... -- Lou's Secretary, 16:43:47 05/17/02 Fri
I'm currently doing a study on the transformation of "opinion" into "fact" via divine light. It's quite fascinating and happens mostly to people who lay eyes on the Messiah Manning Portrait. Some have sworn that angelic visions appear on Blair's face. People who reside in small towns have taken to calling Blair, La Santa Blarina.

Yes,you do, but -- CC, 07:47:46 05/18/02 Sat
What you need to explain to me is not what Lou said, but what I said, since you obviously know what I said, and apparently, what I said is not I thought I said. I said I have seen. I do not look at every single post made by every single T&Ber. I did not even have time yesterday to look at many. I just skimmed most. It is just like a couple weeks ago at MD, when I told Cabbie I have not seen any intellectuall superiority posts on Totally Toddian. I did not deny they existed. I asked her to point them out to me, so I would know what she was talking about.
Obviously, we have two totally different ideas of spin. It appears to me that spin to you means speculation. What I was saying was I saw facts about what he said. The rest is speculation based on fact. Saying he wanted Tea out and assuming he meant that is fact-based speculation. A lot of what I have seen on the side of TnTers is also speculation, not spin(not my definition of spin), but some of it has been spin. To me, "spin" is turning one fact into some other fact through some weird and twisted use of logic. For example, turning "I liked RH's performance today" into "TNT3 will be and Todd does not love Blair." In my definition of spin, that is what spin is. It is not a fact-based specualtion. Sorry, Lou, but you do have to break it down for me, if you really feel the need, on how that is insulting.

OK CC Click... -- Lou, 08:17:54 05/18/02 Sat
You claim that your position was based on fact. You claim that for yourself. I do not. My claim is that my perception of the scenes is as valid as yours and just as apt to be the true one as yours is.
Do you base your perception of the scenes in question entirely on the dialog and completely ignore how the actors portrayed the scene? Surely what we are discussing here is our individual perceptions of how the actors presented the words to US, the audience. That is subjective, open to interpretation and as such neither of us can claim that our perception is the absoulte factual one.
When you claim that YOUR perception was based on fact and mine was based on spin, you intimate that my perceptions are delusional and yours are perfect in every way. THAT is as insulting to me as it is patently false.
As for TnT 3 will be... that is hopeful spin, wishful thinking, whatever you want to call it and I have no problem whatsoever in saying that. I also perceive that Todd is incapable of real love, or if he is capable of feeling that emotion he is emotionally crippled and incapable of demonstrating that in a way that is universally acceptable to most of humanity. Téa threw that in his face yesterday... and she hit the mark...that's how I perceived the scenes.

What I see on my television is fact. Todd did say those things. If saying Todd said those things are insulting, well sorry if the writing insults you. -- CC, 13:36:04 05/18/02 Sat

I think that they're hoping they can shut us all up, buy yammering at us until we get a fatal case of carpal tunnal, trying to explain to those who would not even WANT to understand. It's not worth it, CC. -- OTWB, 11:35:21 05/19/02 Sun
