Another poster raised the issue that some people naturally have this two blood group phenomenon in their blood. If this is so, it seems odd that IOC / UCI and the scientists who developed this method have not accounted for that possibility (the way they did, for example, with the 50% rule). What I haven't seen is any data on how rare that phenomenon is.

If Tyler is one of those rare individuals with the double blood group, then his blood would look funny every time, wouldn't it? I wonder if they can figure out how to test if an athlete is making both types naturally. Could they test this by drawing some bone marrow (ouch)?
