Well, the thing about Evans is that he has had shit luck so for me this Vuelta is finally the chance to see him in action at a GT. Of course the fact that half the team got knocked down by this puking business is a mixed blessing. Since Vino is out of GC contention Evans can ride for the honors, but of course, bad luck again, he'll have less support in controlling stages.

He just happens to be one of the riders whose style and personality I like - his speaking English helps round out the picture,I can read his dairy entries for example -but I guess one of the main reasons I starting following him was that gutsy ride at the Giro a few years back. The drama of all that was pretty exciting. Also his tenure at T-Mobile increased my interest since I live in Germany.

A rider like Valverde is somehow less interesting for me. He's so damn good you just know he'll win a lot and though I enjoy watching him, I can't get too excited when he wins yet again. Same for Armstrong I guess.

Now Terminaitor - or Traitor as he is refered to around here , that's the one I'm keeping my eye on. Want to see what he does in the TT and if he can show some shine again since Crazy JAne unhexed him this year...
