I know you were joking, but hearing aids are really damn expensive (something like £600 to getting on for £2000. For a single ear). And it's one of those things that you really almost have to buy and it will always have a market despite economic downturns and the vagaries of fashion. In fact, with people living longer, their potential market must be increasing every year. So, I'd imagine Phonak are doing pretty good. Hopefully, they are anyway!
