All my life, I felt different from the other girls. I eventually got married to a man I didn't love because I knew that was what girls were supposed to do. I had two kids, which followed with a pricy divorce. Through it all, there was one always there for me... my best friend. When I talk with her I feel like time stops for that moment. I am stuck on her, not thinking about the world around me. I would do anything for that she wanted. I know that we cannot be together, and I fear her finding out my secret. But I only want her happiness so I sit on the sidelines and watch. I have done many things to show her my love without telling her it. When I say "Love You" it means more. She is the piece that fits my puzzle-- but I will never get the courage to tell her that for fear that I would upset her or lose her. I think to never fall in love isn't as bad as falling in love with someone society tells you is not right... to fall in love with someone totally and never be able to share the love. I cannot even look her in her eyes anymore because I don't think I'd ever look away... and then she'd figure me out.
