A large palace lies before me. I walk through the gate to
see king Yamma sitting at his huge desk. "He looks down at
me and says, "Yes? May I help you?" I look up at him and
ask him where I am. He replies by saying, "Why, my good
fellow, this is the junction point that links Snake Way and
Hell together. I'm King Yamma. I decide who will travel
down Snake Way and who will go to Hell." I then ask him,
"Does that mean that... I'm... dead?" He laughs and
bellows, "Ha! Ha! No my good sir! You only wore your body
out so much that you only thought you were dead! A little
rest and you'll be as right as rain!" I think to myself,
"So I'm NOT dead. That's good to know. I've still so much
work to do on Earth." "Indeed!" exclaims King Yamma. He
must be able to read minds. "You, my green fellow, have a
planet to defend! Off you go!" Once he says that, a hole
opens underneath me and my spiritual form falls back into
my physical body. My eyes slowly open. I ache all over.
"Uhhh..." I groan to myself, "I really did a number on
myself this time." I try to get up, but between my gear and
my exhaustion, I can't even budge. I take one of my senzu
beams out of my satchel and chew it up. It only restores me
to only 10% efficiency (considering how bad off I was,
that's not bad). I'm able to get up now. I stagger to the
edge of the crater that I created when I powered up beyond
my limit. Once I get to the edge, I begin to climb up the
side of the crater to get back on ground level. I reach the
top, but collapse from exhaustion once again. "Slowly,
Piccolo" I say to myself, "One step at a time." I get up
once again. I then decide that I need to train anyway,
despite my exhaustion. I perform my routine stretches
slowly, so that that I don't collapse again. Then, I decide
to try a new excercise. I get in a handstand and try to
doing pushups. This proves to be extremely difficult since
I don't have legs bracing me. I'm able to do about 25
before I fall over agqain. "Ahhh! I knew I shouldn't have
done that!" I complain as I get back up. I definately felt
the burn from that. I won't last long if I don't get some
rest. An idea strikes me. I head for the nearest lake and
dive in (with my gear still on) and immediately feel a lot
better. I swim around the lake slowly, feeling more relaxed
by the minute. This is also good aerobic excercise so I'm
still accomplishing something while I get some rest. I
continue to swim for about 6 hours straight; the most I've
swam at one time before. As I swim to the shore, the rain
begins to fall again, after about a week of no rain.
"Ahhh!!! Much better! Ain't nothing quite as relaxing as
rain!" I say to myself. My energy is returnning even more
rapidly now. Before I stop for tonight, I decide to
practice my moves.

A sharp pain jolts through me. "Ugghhh!!! That hurt! Guess
I better just practice my martial arts for now. I get in my
combat stance and begin throwing rapid volleys of punches
and kicks. I focus on perfecting my axe kick and palm
strike. I look for a low slung tree and use my axe kickon
a branch tha;s about a foot and a half shorter than me. I
manage to not break the branch and instead end up uprooting
the tree. "Not bad. Now for the palm strike." I find a
boulder that recently rolled off a nearby mountain and
strike the middle of it with my palm. At first, nothing
happens. Suddenlt, crack appear all over the large rock and
it shatters into hundreds of pieces. "Not bad. Not bad at
all," I say to myself. I take off my gear, cross my legs,
hover, and lapse, for the first time in a while, into
concentration.
