Subject: Richard Evans (1935-2021)

Richard Evans, who appeared in three episodes of Bonanza, has died at the age of 86.

Evans appeared in the season 7 Bonanza "The Other Son," the season 8 episode "Dark Enough to See the Stars" and "What Are Pardners For" from season 11.

He appeared in four episodes of Gunsmoke, including "The Storm" from season 11, one of my favorites. I caught it again on television just yesterday.

Evans was a frequent guest star on western TV series, including Wagon Train, Sugarfoot, Bronco, Death Valley Days, The Rebel, Outlaws, Laramie, Zane Grey Theatre, Cheyenne, The Rifleman, Lawman, Stoney Burke, Shane, Iron Horse, The Big Valley, The High Chaparral, The Virginian and Lancer.

Star Trek fans may recall Evans as Isak in "Patterns of Force" from the third season of the original series in 1968.

His birth year was stated 1931 in some older sources. He was a good character actor.
