Subject: Season 2 Sam Hill

I watched Season 2's "Sam Hill" and the commentary by Andrew Klyde today. He noted a few things in the script that were left out of the final script, and a thing or two the was left on the cutting room floor.

Too bad they had to leave these things out, for one reason or another. (I understand the TV thing) The story would have been richer with them, and a little easier to follow.

Interesting that Andy said that Claude Akins was considered by Dortort for the role of Adam.

He also said that the show open was at Big Bear Lake. I'm not familiar with the regions in California. Is Lake Hemet part of the Big Bear Lake region?

On to Season 3 for me and my DVD player. Season 5 is in the mail!

David Dortort also considered Lee J. Cobb for the role of Ben Cartwright, and both Robert Blake and Robert Fuller for the role of Little Joe Cartwright.

Claude Akins may have been happier in the role of Adam longer. I remember him from lots of TV stuff.
