well, i'm glad you have an opinion. I've been waiting for someone to post something. My opinion is that I just think that it's a bit immature and lame to think that partying and drinking makes a "well-rounded" person. It makes you fat and insanely annoying-i just don't understand the hype. People who need alcohol to be social got problems-girls and guys. College(at least Truman) is to the point where it is just ridiculous as far as drinking goes. That's all people care about whether it's what they're going to have that night or weekend, or whether it's 'which hand should i hold my cup in for the damn picture?'. Like it's the most important thing they will be doing or something. Maybe i wouldn't have such a problem with it if there wasn't so much TALK about it, people trying to show what they know about it... People just trying to be cool or whatever. It's all middle school stuff all over again. I know i'm the minority at our school, and you'd probably tell me that i'd be at any college, but i really want to know at what point do people start to grow up when they drink the stuff. It's just trash.
You're right about one thing, a frat's purpose is soley to get girls in the sack, nothing else and that's a garuntee...and the girls love it????? even the ugly ones just because of their frat(and lack of brains when they're drunk).??? i'm not at all jealous cuz i got NO respect for a girl that goes for that... I'm not trying to evangilize anyone cuz that's pretty gay, i just want you to know that i do not agree that it is socially normal to do that crap. I used to drink stuff in my first 3 yrs of high school, and i regret every minute of it. I only ripped people in my post like that cuz it pisses me off bad when people build stuff like that up, almost as bad as when you see fat girls in good running shoes. PS- it's up to you and not any other fag whether you'll be elite or not.
