Subject: Aussie Rules in USA

American sport has given Australia everything from the slam dunk to the STRRRRRRIIIIKE!

Now it seems Australian sport is getting its own back, with Aussie Rules taking the US by storm (well, maybe not quite a storm, but at least a light coast-to-coast breeze).

By the end of the year an organisation calling itself USAFL (United States Australian Football League) plans to have 60 self-sufficient Aussie Rules clubs that can field a complete team in most cities across the country, largely funded by the generosity of the AFL as part of the code's global expansion plans.

Already there's the West Pennsylvanian Wallabies, Philadelphia Crows, Atlanta Kookaburras, Chicago Sharks, Chicago Swans, Cincinnati Dockers, Denver Bulldogs, Milwaukee Bombers, Nashville Kangaroos, Santa Cruz Roos and Dallas Magpies, to name a few.
