Hi BV,
whilst I do not agree with you, that indigenous rights should be given precedence. I do agree that the heritage and culture should be preserved.

Fiji is even trying a weighted constitution. That is doomed to eventual failure.

Indigenous people, already have far superior rights and benefits in some areas, available to them, compared with us Gubbas. However, both you and I know, this does not equate with equality of opportunity.

Throwing benefits and money at the problem, has shown almost no results. Except for enriching the Bank-Accounts of a few smarties, both white and black. I have seen the pro-active employment of indigenous people in some departments, produce nothing more than incomptent departments, paying large salaries for inefficient work.

This is total stupidity, a mentoring programme has to be instituted. However, the activists both white and black, would reject this as being too paternalistic.

All I know for sure is, we all have to share this continent. We are all equal. We should all have equal rights and opportunities.

Now, how do we achieve this?......Ralph.
