Subject: Aussie government is evil

I truly believe Howard and his Fascists are an evil government. Notwithstanding their abysmal internal behaviour toward our own population the ideology that guides their behaviour toward non-Australians warrants international condemnation.
Consider the following:

The United Nations has appealed to the Australian Government not to deport an Afghan family to Pakistan before it can investigate.

The UN Human Rights Committee fears the forced removal of Roqiah Bakhtiyari, her two sons and three daughters could put them in danger of "irreparable harm".

The committee, which reports to UN Human Rights Commissioner Mary Robinson, has issued a "request" to the Australian mission in Geneva, under Rule 86 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.

"This is an interim measure and is designed to prevent the deportation of the victim," a committee spokeswoman said.

"They're not implemented lightly, only when the committee believes irreparable harm will come to the victim."

The Immigration Department has ruled that Mrs Bakhtiyari and her children are from Pakistan, even though the Government acknowledges their husband and father, Ali Asqar Bakhtiyari, is a genuine refugee from Afghanistan.

For the past 14 months Mrs Bakhtiyari and her children have been at the Woomera detention centre while her husband has lived in Sydney.

The deportation of this unfortunate woman and her children is based on her not being able to identify an Afghani coin. Notwithstanding the fact that her husband is Afghani, and has a visa to remain in Oz, this woman is illiterate, cannot understand the concept of money since she lived in a money-free economy where barter is the means by which people trade.

How evil is this? All the remarkable qualities of our fine nation are being undermined by this atrocious behaviour of heartless beasts who rule Canberra.

I call Howard a terrorist because he and his clique instil terror into the lives of so many poor and 'different' people. Tha bastard won't apologise for the genocide of our Aboriginal peoples. Yet he proclaims 'our Australian sense of a fair go'.
Really!
