Subject: My Favorite Story
In reply to: Merica 's message, "Tell the forum your favorite Dr. Cook stories!" on 09:44:39 03/22/02 Fri

Gee, do I have to pick just one??

OK, one of my favorites was during Time of Your Life...my first experience with a TU production and I was the SM. One day Dr. Cook left during rehearsal to check on the infamous pinball machine...he told me he was leaving and he quietly slipped out. No one realized that he was gone until Robert Walters made his entrance and...well...let's just say that Time of Your Life was never the same again! A little while later, Brad Gruen came to inform me that Cook was back, and I halted the actors from their improv...Dr. Cook returned and was never the wiser.

Oh wait! Another story, which I am sure everyone remembers, was also during TOYL when Dr. Cook would sing the waltz from the back of the house since we didn't have the actual sound cue! Of course, once we did get the sound cue...he still sang from the back of the house!
