Hi everyone ...I just got a few questions I need answers to ...

1) Why do parents hurt their kids ?
2) And why do we stand by and let this happen ??

I don't understand how any parent can stand to hurt their child or let someone else do it ...Isn't it the parents job to look out for their children and to make sure they are safe and happy ? How can anyone just stand by and let a kid get beat up by his or her parents or step-parents ?? Isn't there laws out there to protect kids from this ?? Its bad enough that kids have to put up with this in schools and on playgrounds but why from their own family ??

Maybe I am wrong but shouldn't kids be safe and happy in their home with their family ??
