Rick

You have no doubt been using the Sympatico "bundled" version of Netscape Communicator 4.xx, which because of Bell Canada"s customization disabled the [Back] and [Forward] buttons.

Netscape 7.x.x, by default at the time of the initail installation, migrates all settings "as is" from any prior version of Netscape.

To re-enable the [Back] and [Forward] buttons, from the top task-bar open

EDIT/PREFERENCES/NAVIGATOR/HISTORY

Set the value for "Remember Pages Visited" greater than "0"

"Click" apply at the bottom-right of the property sheet, and then "OK".

With some system configurations, it has been reported that it may be necessary to close Netscape completely, including the "QuickLaunch" task-bar Icon at the lower-right beside the clock, and then the re-opening of Netscape for "Preference" Dialogue setting to take effect.
