Subject: Easy Rider Record Review As Seen In Vapors Issue 14

EASY RIDER 7--Joe Dubb, Eddie K, Alex 75, and DJ Marz of the Space Travelers

It’s Saturday and quite sunny with windless blue skies in San Francisco today. And the corner store is selling Newports for $4.00 a pack. They’re usually five and a quarter. I’m happy and I feel pretty good with the exception of a minor case of gut rot that I got from drinking a bit too much the night before.
Ah, the night before. Yes, let’s talk about the night before. It was a good night, a bit blurry towards the end, but nonetheless quite memorable. I hooked up with Alex75 early in the evening, which was good, because I could still see things clearly at that point and he broke me off a copy of the Easy Rider 7”, which is the first release from the new Easy Rider record label that as Alex puts it, “dedicated to putting out whatever the fuck we want.” I like that quote and I very much like the 7” too, thus the review. Please keep in mind I prefer not to write album reviews. I like fiction. In fact, this is my first review to date, so that must give some instant credibility to the album, right? Ok, that’s enough about that.
Here’s the review:
Side A of this 7” is a freestyle by Eddie-K entitled, “So Much Drama in the Industry,” produced by DJ Marz of The Space Travelers. Until last night, I was unfamiliar with Eddie-K even though we both live in the Godforsaken rat pack city by the bay where everybody knows everybody else and your business is mine and everyday something new comes along. Well, the freestyle is impressive. To tell you the truth, I wouldn’t have even known it was a freestyle unless Alex told me, “it’s some one-take-jake basement shit.” Thumbs up.
Moving along to side B. And I’m typing this and smoking a Newport at the same time, because I enjoy smoking and I enjoyed side B of this album the most. Joe Dubbs’, “95’” track is already a classic in my mind. I’ve listened to it five times today, so what else needs to be said? Yes, it’s a splendid song and yes it’s some straight up Frisco shyt.
And on that note, I’ve already exceeded my 400-word limit and my cigarette is now burning my fingertips, so I’m going to stop now, but first, here’s a nickels worth of free advice: PICK THIS ALBUM UP! www.asitarecordings.com or email: easyrider1975@hotmail.com
