Subject: RIFLEMAN-KCLASSIXX 3 Album Review As Seen In Vapors Issue 14

RIFLEMAN-KCLASSIXX 3

Here I am now writing my second album review. I’m starting to like this review business. I fee like I have a real voice as I sit here and type and watch the words slide across the page from one end to the other. And here I am now getting ready to give my opinion on the new Rifleman “Kclassixx 3” album. And here most of you are reading this and probably thinking, “This guy’s a fucking nut.” And yes, you’re right. I am a nut, but that’s another story that we mustn’t speak on now, because right now I’m writing about Rifleman and his new album.
Rifleman is the fastest gun in the west. And what I mean by that is he spits words like bullets and is one of the pioneers of that whole rodeo, choppin’ style of rapping and not to mention, he’s one of the pioneer emcees of the legendary Project Blowed crew as well. Rifleman has been rapping for a very long time now. Please don’t quote me on this, but I think he said he’s been rapping since 84’; however, I don’t have a copy of the interview I did with a few issues back on hand.
Rifleman’s got a handful of albums out and has appeared on countless other artist’s albums and compilations as well. This new 16-track album is a collaboration of previously unreleased “gems” out of Rifleman’s secret stash and the songs vary in dates from 95’ to 99’. Some of my favorite tracks include, but aren’t limited to “Sucka 4 Luv” and “21 Gun Salute.”
“Sucka 4 Luv,” is one of those songs that almost perfectly describes how awkward a relationship can get between men and women and those of you out there reading this, who are like me, and have a significant other will definitely relate to this song in someway or another. And if you don’t, I guarantee that one day you will.
“21 Gun Salute,” is hardcore, yet very stylish. Rifleman really shows some skill here. It’s one of those songs that makes you want to shadowbox or do a bunch of push-ups or something. Needless to say, this song gets a lot of playtime on my stereo; truly splendid indeed.
Other honorable mentions include, “Tellecommunications,” “The Fifth of If,” and “Diamond in the Ruff.”
In conclusion, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, “RIFLEMAN IS PLATINUM!”
