Ahh yes, the great money making opportunities. Want to

make big money? Just ask my character and give him 100 gold

and you'll be well on your way to learning the easy ways

of making money in the 4lands. heh

Actually, I played a con-artist once. It was surprisingly

easy. I would tell people that I was hiring people for a

job as a map holder, to hold all my maps to the jewel mines

and gold mines.

They'd be all for it, then I'd tell them I need some money

to go buy their uniform and such. They'd give me the money

then I'd say, ok wait here and I'll be back with your

uniform....heh.

I even conned a Kavka noble saying I was a merchant from

Stonehaven and I had a warehouse in Stonehaven full of

blocks of steel ready for the forging. He was all for

buying it all so I told him I'd need half the money up

front. 5000 gold later and I'm off living the good life

while the noble's making plans for his big steel import.

Not that I'm saying you should go out and con newbies out

of their hard earned cash, but there are plenty of ways

to make money without just buying and selling stuff at the

shops. Good idea though, but if you can get a group of

4 players together for anything you're pretty well set up.
