It may not have a whole lot of activity now, but that's just because people are shy. We have more lookers than posters right now, but this will change as people like you break the ice here... I think it is an excellent time to purchase property in Vermont. there's enough uncertainty in the market right now that prices have begun levelling off. It was a sellers market, but has switched recently to a buyers market, especially in the price range your looking at. There may be less flexibility in the 'new' market, but if you are looking for a second or third owner home, I believe you will have a lot to choose from. Oh, by the way, if you find a place before August 12th and want to break it in with a party, I heard that we're looking for a place near Essex Junction to host our Already scheduled (August 12th) alumni get-together sponsored by the class of 1976. If you get a place with ample parking, you might consider hosting it? You could invite the neighbors and make instant friends by having an all expense paid catered event at your new home! think about it!
