When Banshee first came to live with us, Hydrox was not happy about sharing his space. He would walk by her and smack her every chance he got. She got very upset and even stopped using the litterboxes in the bathroom because every time she went into the bathroom, Hydrox would sit in the doorway, just daring her to get past him. He was rather nasty to her.

When Whisper had her kittens, she and Banshee worked together together to keep the kittens away from Hydrox. I don't know that he would have actually done anything, but he really didn't get much of a chance. They wouldn't let him too close.

My mother always told me that males would kill newborns if they got the chance because then the mama kitty would be ready for mating sooner. I don't know if that's true or not.

Like I said, I would keep a close eye on their playing.
