Willy--- you have it figured out. IMO it would be neat if you had a buddy along so each could watch the other's back.

You sorta remind me of my (late) younger brother who would venture off into a wilderness/primitive area and detect for gold alone. He knew of a nice area and found several double handfuls of unusual shaped pyramid crystals of gold. They were about three to twelve grains each and the count was in the hundreds. His machine of choice--- no other would do; was a Gold Mountain "Boss" with a 7.5 inch coil. They were in a wash area about 6,000 ft. elevation along the International border separating Arizona from Mexico. This was about 1981.
