My knowledge of the rotary van goes back over 50-years ago. At this time, as a "shorttimer" with only a few months to go I was given a "easy" assignment, Engineer Power tools at Ft. Leonard Wood in Missouri. Needed lots of compressed air. They were 10 in number; trailer mounted 315 cfm each. The offset vans as they spun into a tighter radious
compressed the air. Lucky to have 10 as several were always
needing maintenance--- usually it was a frozen van.
