Thanks to all who gave me a reply concerning the Compass website. First let me apologize for being late with this reply but had family and puter problems. I finally managed to access the Compass Web. Don't know what I was doing wrong because I had it bookmarked.

Randy I still have my first detector a 71b(got it from Keen when they were in North Hollywood) and it has seen service since I got it in the early 70's. Took me awhile to learn what it was telling me but after that I did real good with it. Steve did offer to purchas it but I declined. When I feel like digging everything that's the one I take. My ears arn't that good anymore so it is getting harder to tell the difference in signals.
Steve and I do share the same last name but are not related. Had a few real nice phone conversations with him reguarding my Gold Scanner. Actually sent it to him and had a meter and all the latest mods installed. Should have done that a long time ago.

Mr. Straight or anyone for that mater I have the following question. I only have the eight coil for the Gold Scanner, would it be worth the money to get the six and twelve inch coils or invest in a new toy? The plan is to move from sloppy Eugene Oregon to either the Elko or Winnemucca Nevada area now that I am retired. That way I could also get some more use out of my dry washer. Have to many things to do and so little time left now that I am 64. The days seem to just fly by.

A great day to all.
todd
