Randy... You are the man... If the modification could be made as both you and Willy mention, this could revitalize the Fisher Gold Strike. Actually, at 30 kHz it is a worthy gold machine.

My Gold Strike is setting on a shelf... ???

And I have also put the Teknetics T-2 along side of it... Waiting for the smaller coil.

I like the first Headset you modified. However, I'm now using the Minelab X-terra 70 for prospecting only. With the 18.75 kHz elliptical DD. It has audio tone choices and lots of threshold/volume.
