Rick...Great. You have verified what I have hoped... If
Sandtrap sees this post I believe he could get about 14-inches in an air test using the 14- inch accessory Coiltex
and accessory Koss headphones with his 2200d. Now if Randy
sees this... Hey Randy whatcha getting with your "PI" in an
air test against a jefferson (low conductive) nickel while
using "what" coil...?

And Jim McC... you are welcome to add more thoughts on this
matter...

Again... I get a good signal on a jef at about 10.5- 11.0
with my Infinium using the 10x14 DD... I do not have the 10x14 mono, but possibly it would test an inch or so deeper
in most desert soil...

Getting about 12- 14 inches could open a little new areas to hunt the false and true bedrock. However, I suspect the
Minelab 3000 and later, especially the 4500 are king. But depth is not everything...
