Thanks so much for your request to gather some informal TDI data. It's been a long hot summer here in Oman - just now getting more plesant during the day. In addition I had to log some hospital and recovery time to correct a plumbing problem of long standing. I'm back to 100% now and its good to have a little push to get the detectors out and play with them.

So far I have done the TDI nickel test as you requested with the standard 12" (or whatever) coil.

With the threshold knob at 12:00 I had no audible threshold and got about 12" - 13" with some old crappy headphones. With the thrshold knob at 1:00 I had an audible threshold and got about an additional 2" (14" - 15"). This was with the GB off. GB on didn't seem to affect the depth much (set at 9), but did make the threshold more unstable.

Tomorrow I will try my smaller round and elip. coils and report back.

The GSP got 9" in iron reject at the preset power mark (9 - I think) and 15" in all metal??
