Hi George!

Now that's a pan full of gold!!

I've run into similar digs on very high benches in the Chisana District and at Ganes Creek. Way above the creeks, and a long way from water of any sort. But being Alaska, drywashing is not very practical, unless you excavate the material and spread it to dry first.

So actually, just plain detecting the little stuff is as efficient as anything sometimes.

You and I had better get to it. Winter is coming fast. I'm of to McGrath this weekend, and hope maybe one quick trip up to the Fortymile before snowfall. Plus anything else I can cram in.

I'm hoping for one detector trip south this winter, but other than that it's sit and wait for months to go detecting again.

So go get some gold - quick! Happy Hunting!!
