Hey Ralph & All...I currently own a GMT, Minelab SD2100, Two Gold Bug 2's, a Gold Bug, a GoldMaster II, a GoldMaster VSAT and a White's DFX....I have also owned and used a Lobo Super Traq and a White's GM3....If you told me I had to toss them all but one (which Dodie sort of suggested the other day) it would be a tough decision between the GMT and the Gold Bug 2...Plus, I'd hate to let the 2100 go just because I enjoy the anticipation (3x's deeper!) and the lack of mineralization noise...If i am hunting mineralized and trashy ground, like around Rich Hill, the GMT shines...You can really believe it's target ID, you just have to decide for yourself where to draw the line, which for me is at 60 on the iron probability meter....Plus it finds the dinks just about as good as the GB2 with 6" coil...If the GMT had a tiny coli, it would win hands down...If I'm in hot, low trash ground where there's a chance of big deep nuggets, like some other areas of Rich Hill, I go with the 2100....And if I'm sniping washes or working old drywasher fine tailings, I go with the Gold Bug 2....I actually do use all three machines almost daily...All of the areas I hunt here in Central Arizona are pretty highly mineralized and all three of my top choices, even the GB2 when set right, will handle the ground well....Cheers, Ron www.az-gold.com
