White's Sierra Gold Max and Jimmy Sierra Hot Shot Coils

Thanks John and Jim for the replys,

My target gold is 1-5 pennyweight pieces in low mineral ground, but with lots of roots and other organic cover. The Gold Max was my coil of choice, but now I'm wondering about the Hot Shot. The extra depth you think it gets is all I normally care about, Jim. But the stability issue you mention is worrisome, John. And I do not like donut holes where I work. They catch too much brush.

Still, I'm curious. I guess there is only one way to know for sure; I'll order a Hot Shot today. We will see how it does for my particular task... as soon as I see the ground. Woke up to another inch of fresh snow this morning!
