Hi Nenad,

I won a Diablo mMax off ebay for $300 earlier this year, and all I can say is, after owning a Gold Bug I, Minelab XT17000, Goldmaster II, and a Diablo Gold Demon (the first Diablo), I absolutely love this detector.

I've only had it out a few times but have already found some small pieces of gold (after a year long dry spell!). I am very impressed with this detector's ease of use, stability in difficult ground, and it's lightness of weight.

I found that when passing over small gold, the Diablo mMax makes a distinctive enough zip zip sound (different from other small pieces of metal, like birdshot or iron) which enabled me to instinctively tell that what I had just passed over was none other than gold.

I still need a bit more experience using the machine before I figure out precisely how to use the hot rock switch, but so far I really haven't had to use it all the much, just occasionally.

Anyhow, here's a link to the two small nuggets I recently found. The one on the left is 3/10 gram and the other is just slightly under 1/10 gram. Not your motherlode, but hey, it's gold, and after a year of finding no gold I was sure glad to see it pop up in my digging spoon! I'm heading out again this saturday, and hopefully I'll have a small nugget or two to show for it.
