Subject: Thank You

I just read all the wonderful thoughts, quips and comments that abound on this board, and smiled and laughed ( and cried a little too) remembering all of you dear friends who write here.

In some aspects, this past year has been one of the best i can ever remember. My sweet Mystic is now always by my side, I have a new car, my home is nicer than ever. My health has held up fairly well, with very little pain, and no new surprises.

In other ways it has been a horrendous year. It may not seem like such a big deal to some of you, but it was to me. I now cannot go home any more. For as long as I can remember, either my Dad or my step-mom has always had an open door I could go back to. Kinda a little security blanket psycologically in my head.It is gone now with my step-mom living with my brother due to her failing health. My brother and I are cordial, but not very close.
The loss of my sweet Lex was a blow. She had been my constant companion for 12 years,a sweet gentle being who let me cry in her fur and comforted me in pain and sorrow.
The Ciacat still cries for her, and looks everywhere on occasion for her life long companion now gone. Cia is a beautiful siamese, but has never had the personality that Lexus had.

Life moves on, and despite our vain attempts to remain as we are, we are forced to grow up, and live our own lives.
Thank you for being my friends, thank you for being here for me. May we all have a happy holiday and a wondorous New Year.
