Subject: Just some migrating thoughts

Here are a few news items that have gotten my attention and raised my blood pressure within the past few days.

1. The Board of Regents of the California University System voted recently to extend STATE RESIDENT TUITION STATUS to ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS!!!!!!!!

This is idiotic on its face. The people of California have been crying, whining, whimpering and moaning for many years now about having to foot the bill for services and public assistance for illegal aliens in their state. They hve been claiming that the people of all the other states ought to foot some of those costs though they consistently refuse to reduce the ability of illegal aliens to feed at that public sugar teat. Recently they have complained about American citizens and legal residents not being able to access state supplied higher education. They want residents in other states to contribute to the education of young people in their state. At the same time they do this they are demanding that people who BREAK OUR LAWS get the benefits supposedly reserved for citizens and LEGAL residents.

These are the same folks who impose horrific conditions on energy companies, oil refiners and automobile manufacturers, scream bloody murder that they do not want oil drilling in their state or off its shores then whine, whimper and moan because of the consequences of those choices.

California, as a concept, is idiotic and deserving of the derision it normally draws from the rest of US. Let their citizens stew in the pot of liberal idiocy they created and - when the heat gets high enough - they may come to their senses, joining the rest of the country in common sense laws regarding oil exploration and production, energy production and automotive manufacturing, not to mention welfare handouts to law breakers. These clowns express pride in their foolishness. I say, let them be proud and crow about their "enlightenment! But, let them also suffer the results that were the blatantly obvious results they would harvest to their more practical and intelligent fellow citizens of these United States. If they suffer as a result of the predictable results of their decisions, that is tough, as far as I am concerned. I seldom have much sympathy for self inflicted wounds. I still don't. As for those Californians who disagree with the idiocy in that state, vote the idiots out or vote with your feet and Mayflower. Otehrwise, shut up and suffer with those you support by your inaction.

2. Junior New York Senator Hillary Clinton wants to prevent law enforcement officials from using information provided by ILLEGAL ALIENS who make claims for benefits from U. S. government funds provided (read that your money and mine, folks) for the families of victims of the September 11 th terrorism attack.

We have a law that says it is illegal to enter this country and/or stay here without formal permission. THAT IS THE LAW. It has been the law for many years. If some of the people who died had no business here on September 11th then they have NO claim to any benefit from the rest of us! It's that simple. To argue otherwise is like saying that someone who is injured while in the commission of a brutal rape and murder is entitled to some form of compensation from the victims and the victims' families. Liek Hell they do.

When I was a young tad of a boy I got hurt rather badly once while playing in a place that my parents had expressly forbidden me to play and in the process of doing something they had forbidden as well. They knew the dangers that I chose to ignore and they were right. After bandaging the wound in a ratehr rudimentary way, my old man said something to me that stuck.

"You would not have been hurt if you weren't in a place you had no business being, doing things you had no business doing. You aren't entitled to want sympathy because you got hurt there." I hated admitting it, but he was right. The same holds true all these years later for illegal aliens who were in the vicintiy of Ground Zero on that fateful day. They were where they had no business being, doing things they had no business doing. Neither do their families have ANY right to our largess because they broke, and continue to break, our laws. Those who died there that day knew they were breaking our laws and they did not care about those laws. Neither did their families. This does not apply to LEGAL aliens and visitors in this country, in my opinion. They should have the benefit of every law and benefit that all the rest of us would have.

If the blood sucking illegal aliens who are the family of these law breakers want to feed at that trough, they need to know that anything they say or do can and WILL BE USED AGAINST THEM! Any information that can lead to their capture and deportation, AS PROVIDED BY OUR LAWS, should be used to its fullest, without exception, in my opinion. Neither should these people be allowed to profit from the results of their illegal acts. Our nation has a reported 8-MILLION illegal aliens in this country. We have laws that say what tehy have done and continue to do is illegal.

It's time to enforce those laws. Deport every one of them. Give them no reward for breaking our laws.

As for Senator Clinton, I believe she, like every other member of the U. S. Senate, took an oath of office that states without reservation that she will uphold the laws of the United States. It doesn't say that she will only uphold those that amke her feel good and ignore those that are emotional triggers for bleeding hearts. Perhaps she needs to be on trial right next to Taliban Johnny? What do you think?

3. Finally, a legacy of the Clinton years that has come home to roost. The World Trade Organization (WTO) has a judicial body that declared recently that the United States Congress should be REQUIRED (under treaty law) to change the Tax Code fo this nation to remove tax credits and deductions allowed to U. S. based corporations on income earned in other countries.

Wait one damned minute! Who the Hell are these people and nations demanding the right to rewrite OUR tax laws?

The other nations in the WTO have laws that exempt completely ALL income for the companies of their nations from operations and income in other countries. Those are not considered "illegal subsidies" by those other nations, yet our Tax Code is considered to be an "illegal subsidy" for U. S. corporations. NO OTHER NATION IN THE WORLD EXCEPT THE U. S. taxes income earned by their corporations in other countries.

How dare Mr. Clinton, Tom Daschle and the rest of their ilk enter into any treaty that subordinates our Constitution to the whim and will of other countries? This agreement was negotiated by Clinton and his people... no one else. It was supported by the Senate Democrats and a few spineless Republican Senators. It is time for this nation to formally withdraw from this AND ALL OTHER ORGANIZATIONS AND TREATIES that give any other country or organization any say so in our Constitutional freedoms, our rights and the sovereignty of this nation and its people.

These are just a few observations I have and have shared here in an effort to get some much needed discussion going in this venue. I know you folks are all intelligent, thoughtful and well spoken. You have much to say and I am at a loss as to why no one is saying much of anything recently.
