Dear Friends (and whatever enemies wait in the weeds),

Thank you very much for your birthday greetings. It warms the spot that used to be my gizzard. At this stage of the game (and Ron Hobbs ain't that far removed) I get sardonic pleasure listening to the kids from the next building in my complex, throwing rocks and dirt into my air conditioning unit -- "hey landlord, fix it, it ain't mine!" Little things like that sorta make it all worthwhile.

I still have one (my youngest) in high school. When she graduates (in two months) I may buy a bottle of Courvoisier and brew a pot of coffee, and get stinking drunk.
Hey! I can afford it now!
