Subject: We've been HAD - again!

These days I must marshall my energies as best I can or the "treatments" could finish me off. Even so, I am a proud and self-demanding man. To me, my personal integrity takes a high priority. It always has. It always will, I hope.

In another post on this forum recently, I blasted our military commanders in Iraq for their failures to protect the Iraqi National Museum and its stored treasures from the easily foreseen looting that took place. Recent information indicates that I was probably wrong in that tirade and I wish to acknowledge that. I wonder how many who have a natural propensity to blame our government first for everything have an equal amount of integrity and will acknowledge that we have been lied to by the media, Hollywood wonks and the self-identified intelligenscia - ONCE AGAIN! I am amazed and dismayed at myself and anyone who lived through the obscene and revolting propoganda deluge of the media during the Viet Nam era that we believed the events as reported. I saw, knew and still know firsthand what liars our media are. The "reporting" of events in those days that I experienced firsthand proved this to me beyond even a scintilla of a doubt, much less "reasonable" doubt.

Don't get me wrong. When it comes to llying, obfuscation and distortion of truth, our military and political leaders don't take a back seat to anyone usually. Again, this is firsthand knowledge learned the hard way for me. In this case, however, it is a media wrong and a heinous one at that. Our military leaders got a bum rap and I want to set the record straight on the part of those wrongful accusations I made in my prior post. But, my apolgies are only on this subject for now. The Jessica Lynch story is, however, now suspect.

It turns out that fewer than fifty (50) items - none of any great historical or archeological and anthropological significance - are "missing" from the museum. THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS of items the Iraqi Museum people claimed with great weeping and gnashing of teeth were "stolen and looted" have been located exactly where those very same Iraqi Museum officials had placed them prior to the outbreak of hostilities earlier this year. In fact, the treasures of Nimrud that are of major historical importance have also been found in a flooded vault under the Iraq National Bank in Baghdad where they were placed by Iraqis in 1991! Robert Byrd and several members of the House Democrat leadership (Nancy Pelosi, Gerold Nadler) were in the forefront of those claiming our military people "allowed" these items to be stolen.

There is even evidence that the fifty "missing" items were indeed stolen, but probably by Iraqi Museum officials personally, or who assisted senior Hussein cutthroats to loot those items. Many have been located among the possessions of Iraq's hoodlum honchos who were captured trying to make a run for it to Syria. At least two such "missing items" were found in the home of the very Iraq official who was screaming about the "terrible loss" to history of some of those items he personally knew were secreted away in Museum vaults (because he ordered them stored away) in all the major media. Oddly, that part of the facts of the story story doesn't appear on the front pages, or anywhere else, for that matter, or with half page headlines to trumpet the content of the story. The BBC mentioned the information only in passing recently - ONCE - and has not said another word despite their hours of contrary "reporting." CNN did hours of coverage on the "US permitted losses of historical artifacts" and "US military sanctioned chaos," yet only did two short (and identical) informatinless "bites" on the recent discoveries. One has to go to newspapers in Denmark, Belgium and Luxemburg to discover the truth of the wrongful allegations and the real facts.

THAT STINKS!

I should have known better. Any industry that goes insane trying to find ways to spin Bill Clinton's presidency and Tom Daschle's obstructionism into "great statesmanship" is no better today than it was in the 60s when they took a true American and South Vietnamese VICTORY in the 1968 Tet offensive that marked the effecive end of the Viet Cong as a cohesive fighting entity and portrayed it as a great US LOSS is no more trustworthy today than it was then.

Those of us who served in those days of insanity and traitorous American citizens who treated us with disrespect and even crude hostilities should know that "freedom of the press" has decomposed into a festering body of false information, misleading reporting with agenda and outright lies that serve to misinform our citizens. I am no longer surprised at those who would believe the lies because it makes them happier to portray our government as liars and thugs. The truth keeps getting in their way.

Our military is not "corrupt" and malignant. They're not well organized enough to be those things.

Anyone who has ever spent any time in the military knows that there is only one way to describe our military leadership. They are bumbling, poorly organized, ineffectual, incompetent boobs who are politically motivated jerks (at the senior staff level mostly) for the most part. Competency has been punished out of existence in the military of this nation for far too long. The eight year horrors between 1993 and 2001 that were heaped upon our military by those who despised the common soldier gor his or her integrity and honor were the coup de grace to our military men and women and their abilities to accomplish their Constitutionally mandated function. We have allowed asses from our State Department and partisan, politically motivated cretins to get control of the reins of our military might.

Only when such lies are sold wholesale as the truth is it possible to villify and demonize those of us who think that government has no money of its own as "hateful, uncaring, totally self-centered and unfeeling conservatives," a pejorative dismissal of those who differ in this area of thinking. Any government only has that which it takes from those who produce earnings and wealth.

No government CREATES wealth or produces ANYTHING! Those who foolishly and falsely see government as the panacea to all of the vagaries of the real world are able to successfully (to their thinking) harangue and deprecate those of us who deny that tax cuts "COST" the government anything.

The next time you go into a store and see a consumer good that you would love to have, but cannot afford, and do not purchase it, please tell me how much it "cost" you to be fiscally prudent and not buy it. That's the only answer to the "deficit spending" laments of the liberals now claim is so horrific - though they invented the practice long ago (See FDR and New Deal, LBJ and the Great Society and 70+ years of REALITY for documentation). We don't have a TAXATION problem. We have a GOVERNMENT OVERSPENDING problem in this nation. Deficits immediately disappear when a government spends only that amount it takes in at threat of gunpoint, violence, death or imprisonment from its citizens.

There are those who attack Americans for having more, owning more, using more, than people of other nations. That's possible because they were fed a pack of lies they want to believe over the years by the media and political "leaders' on the left. Now they can't recognize truth when they see and encounter it. They want to make those of us who produce more with less and create more for others around the world to feel guilty. It somehow makes them feel smugly "superior" if they can sell this silliness.

Here's a news flash. THEY AREN'T!

Just how much REAL help could those strutting, braying jackasses provide the "constituencies" they claim to champion if they devoted all their public efforts to done-in-private, real work that makes a real difference instead of parading around showing their self-proclaimed, greater compassion? How many hungry children could they feed if they devoted the money they raise for their propoganda efforts to buying food, preparing and serving it? If they consider themselves to be "above" preparing and serving it (they do), they can just give the food to the families themselves. That means ALL of the money raised could be used to buy food. No hungry person considers himself or herself to be to "good" to cook for and feed himself or herself.

They, and their co-conspirators in the national media, have a vested interest in continuing to propogate their lies. Otherwise, they would have to get busy and do something productive and personally meaningful. That involves the risk of personal failure and not a single one of them is willing to risk that. It would destroy their own over-inflated self-images they obtained in schools that no longer educate.

It works out well for the media. The less educated the general public is, the less likely it is that they might find printed proof of the perfidy of these cancers upon the American body politic. You see, one must be able to read in order to comprehend the content of newspapers from other countries and our own. God forbid that they might have to do so in a language other than the garbled patois that passes for written and spoken English in this country these days.

How much intellectual acumen do you detect in a televised talking head or by-lined print media reporter who claims that "a suspect has been returned back to (a place)," or commits any of the multitudionous grammatical gaffes that are so common to modern "journalism" these days? How truthful can anyone be who covers up and fails to report the percentage of home-schooled children winning national competitions in academic subjects such as basic math, science, geography, spelling, English grammar and history? Check for yourself. It's a staggeringly sobering and irrefutable cold, hard, real percentage that defies denial.

I will admit that I was initially angered by the staged media coverage of the looting in Iraq and the false reports that came out. I should have known better. I know already that our military leadership these days is too incompetent to have participated in such malignant acts purposefully. Our rank and file soldiers and field commanders try to excel despite this. We have seen that firsthand now, thanks to the war to liberate Iraq and stop Saddam Hussein from providing WMD and support to murdering terrorists, including his own sons. They are trying to find a proverbial WMD needle in a haystack the size of California peopled by ruffians who had eight (8) years to perfect secreting away their stashes.

They can't win that battle, however. They are fighting a stacked deck and we citizens keep having to deal with jokers in a game where they provide no meaningful value to winning the game. They just take up space and devalue our hand.
