As the coon-asses on da buy-you dey sez, dem... "Incest ain't such a much a nuttin' long as ya keeps it in de fambly!" Now dat dere Jackson boy with the fey-fey nose and lemon Pledge-scrubbed skin color done got hisself so messed up, he done gotta be abusin' his own self too."
I can claim total arrogant disregard for BOTH episodes of the "As the Stomach Turns and Does a Moonwalk" odesseys. I will be very honest about my interest in any part of MJ's life...
I DON'T CARE!
Jackson sold an interview to a hatchet job huckster who blew smoke up his derriere, a sensation for which MJ may have a special liking. When comparing the harm done to MJ and to the original interviewer, I come out thinking both sides got exactly what they had coming to them. The ask and slash interviewer wound up exposed for what he was and is. There were, and are, some who seemed surprised by this intelligence. That may be because they also have crushes on professional wresters and believe that crap is real too.
Abraham Lincoln said that it is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove any doubts. Jackson ought to have that tattooed on his wee-wee so he sees it often, though it would probably not fit there unless he used a special viewer. He tried to spin a ridiculous media event into a means of flogging life into his diminishing record sales and public appearance work load. He came off as flogging his chicken (a la Peewee Herman... the world's most effective example of Truth In Labeling) instead and he has no idea why that would be. Hell, they could have run the entire nauseating interview without a single edit and he still would have come off as sappy. That's because he is sappy!
I was disgusted that FOX would pay Jackson a penny to present an opposing view. They enabled Jackson's idiocy in which he has come to believe that he has some divine right to do whatever he damned well pleases because he is a "star" and had a lot of money once. He does, so long as he doesn't demand that others fawn over his perverted ideas of adulthood and manhood. He is a flake. It's that simple and no amount of watching either program would change that one iota.
