For Mssrs Chirac, Putin and Shröeder and for all the mindless dupes who march in support of those who do not wish the United States to be upheld but wish to give tyranny a chance while claiming foolishly that they support giving "peace" a chance, I present some words we would do well to remember. Who said them? Where? On what occasion? Who benefited from the bravery of which was spoken so eloquently?
Now, who said this? When? Where? On what occasion?
We stand today at a place of battle, one that 40 years ago saw and felt the worst of war. Men bled and died here for a few feet of -- or inches of -- sand, as bullets and shellfire cut through their tanks. About them, General Omar Bradley later said, 'Every man who set foot on Omaha Beach that day was a hero.' ...Today, in their memory, and for all who fought here, we celebrate the triumph of democracy. We reaffirm the unity of democratic people who fought a war and then joined with the vanquished in a firm resolve to keep the peace. From a terrible war we learned that unity made us invincible; now, in peace, that same unity makes us secure. We sought to bring all freedom-loving nations together in a community dedicated to the defense and preservation of our sacred values. ...These things are worth fighting and dying for. ...We will always remember. We will always be proud. We will always be prepared, so we may always be free.
To those who protest against us, even among our own citizens, you are misguided in your twaddle. You are not really promoting giving "peace" a chance. You promote instead giving tyranny more time to practice tyranny. You scream about "Bush" wanting to attack without understanding that he simply wishes to force a petty tyrant to live up to his obligations and his promises. We aren't about forcing Iraq to sell us oil. We could have done that at any time. We don't need his oil. The Iraqi people need it and we need to give to back to them, not some ruthless, acknowledged murdering despot who lines his own pockets and purchases the means of terror while fulfilling his own demonic ego in the process and at the expense of the people of Iraq.
Let's give war a chance to show that good people will no longer stand idly by as entire nations are slaughtered in the name of religious hatred shanghaied to mask personal aggrandizement. Why aren't you people marching to protest Hussein's murderous regime? Aren't you really saying, "Let's give terrorism ANOTHER chance to murder thousands of innocent American civilians?" You should not be marching and showing your faces publicly. You should be hiding them in shame.
"What if Bush is wrong?" you ask. Then a tyrant is dethroned and sent packing. The more important question should be, "What if he is right and we don't act to stop Hussein before another September 11th atrocity he funds and equips?" The United States does not place military units in the middle of hospitals, schools and residential areas. Hussein doesn't care about Palestinians at all. He only wishes to use mindless religious hatred by fanatical idiots to promote his own hegemony.
If that's the "peace" you intellectually and morally bankrupt cretins want to give a chance... no, thank you. Perhaps you folks need to go read up on the Vichy regime before you show your silly faces in public again. Remember, people just like you, mouthing the same mindless drivel as you spew today, protested the entry of the United States into World Wars I and II and, prior to our entry into WWII, they claimed vociferously that the Nazis did not have death camps or a "final solution."
Your kind never change, and now, as then, you are wrong. How many more innocent people must die for your "peace?"
