George W. went to the U. N. in the first place to shut up those idiots who claimed we needed approval from that body to enforce the terms of the formal and binding Cease Fire Agreement Saddam Husein sought, and agreed to, in 1991. With the passage of the resolution of the Congress PRIOR to us going to the U. N. he would have been legitimately and legally within his rights and authority to act against Hussein then. Have you ever read the War Powers Act of the United States passed during the Cuban missle crisis? Even after the limitations that were later imposed on Nixon by a stacked deck in Congress, the President still held those powers and could still use them, except that he has to report to Congress after 90 days. He doesn't need their approval. He just has to "report" to them.

By doing what he did, President Bush took away the power of the refuseniks to argue this point, though even that was not enough for them. What is plain to see is that NOTHING will ever be enough for these fools.

Bush said recently that another U. N. resolution "would be nice to have but unnecessary." He is going along with the British Prime Minister's request to seek that further resolution in an attempt to quiet the idiots Blair has to deal with at home. Once again, even that won't be enough to shut them up.

There could be large, ugly mushroom-shaped-clouds of radioactive debris rising over New York City, Washington, Los Angeles, Chicago and half a dozen other US cities and Hussein caught with the detonator in his hands, yet these idiotic statements will keep getting made by the same stupid people. They will still be as meaningful and intellectually valid as an amoemba fart then too.

It seems the most widely used right of many Americans is the right to say and do stupid things, even repeating those things that were long ago proved to be false. That especially goes for your crap about the U. S. giving Hussein weapons grade anthrax. IT DID NOT HAPPEN AND I AM SICK OF THE LIE BEING REPEATED HERE! Our CDC gave samples of anthrax spores to Iraqi scientists who were supposedly studying effective means of eradicating the disease in the livestock in their country. That is documented and provable. They way you make your partially true statement sound, it seems as if we were giving him weapons grade anthrax and that is an outright lie! If we had givenhim such weapons grade materials, why the Hell would he have had to spend years of research - with the help of our stalwart friends, the French! - and millions of dollars trying to learn how to weaponize anthrax?

If you sold your car to someone as a means of transportation and instead they used it to murder someone, did you do it to help that person commit murder? That person would have misused the car, just as Hussein misused the medically acceptable samples of anthrax to make biological weapons. Now, stop repeating your lie unless you have some form of believable proof to the contrary. No such proof exists, so I take it that you won't repeat it here again. The same goes for your misstatements of truth about the provision of Stinger missles and other weapons to Been Laidbad. That is an outrght lie. Our CIA provided those weapons to the mujahadin fighters in Afghanistan LONG BEFORE UBL ever showed up there! At the time, he was in hiding in the Sudan and Nigeria. How about getting your facts straight?

You obviously don't read or get out much, do you? We have NOT taken over all of the middle-eastern countries and their oil supplies. You don't even come close on this ration of bulldroppings. We have "taken over" exactly ZERO - NONE - NADA - ZIP - THE BIG GOOSE EGG -NEIN - NINGUNA - NYET middle-eastern countries. We have developed trade and other relationships with most of them as well as many of the former Soviet satellite nations who are now independent states. The Russians have even encouraged our doing this or were you off planet when those news items were reported? The reality is that usually a fart is just a fart, even if it is a mind fart. Your comments about owing the UN back dues is another such escape of meaningless stomach gasses as well. We were being charged an amount equal to over 50% of the operating budget of the UN and we were the only ones paying! We provided everything to the UN without charge in addition to those funds. In return we were treated with enormous disrespect and told we were obligated to pay their demands to spead even more anti-American programs around the world under the auspices of the UN. Thank God we had a President with some moral character back then. He listened to Nancy and just said "no" to dopes. I didn't see Bubba rushing to pay any of those so-called "arrears" either. As far as I am concerned, we don't owe the U. N. diddly squat and we can manage quite well without them here too. We don't need any more arrogant SOBs ignoring traffic laws and other laws then hiding behind claimed "diplomatic immunity." Just how much credence can you place on any body that has scheduled Iraq and Libya to head up the respective Councils on Human Rights and Non-Aggression? Any body that gives France, China and Russia veto power over our national sovereignty is a ludicrous waste of time and money and perhaps it is time to pull the plug on them once and for all.

I would suggest they have as much credibility as the misstatements of facts and truth you spread around here regularly without any evidentiary support to back your claims and despite the existence of mountains of hard, proven evidence that disputes your claims.

Once again you ignored my question to spew nonsense instead. When there are 60 nations aligned with the United States and committed to removal of Saddam Hussein's weapons and his own ass from the world's stage, how can anyone be so assinine as to even hint that we would be acting "unilaterally?"

If you can bring yourself to doing the work to find it, a copy of the 1991 Cease Fire Agreement signed by Hussein is available on the Web. I have seen it several times now and read it word for word. In that cease fire agreement, Hussein agrees that he will disarm totally and return all the assets of Kuwait and its people that he and his thieving, murdering rapists stole. He also agreed to the northern and southern no-fly zones. Most important of all, he agrees, without condition, that if he doesn't do these things, or should he be suspected of violating any of the provisions of the ceasefire, the United States and its allies have a legal and legitimate right to immediately, and without further warning, resume hostilities against him, his government and his nation. It doesn't say one damned word about inspections, Security Council approval or anything like that. He clearly violates that cease fire every time he moves prohibited armaments and missles into the no fly zones, shoots at one of our aircraft and when his people shoot down one of our drones. Once you have educated yourself, come back and post on subjects of such importance.
