Subject: Where's Wally? at Isle of Wight 1970

On Saturday 29th August 1970, at the 3rd Isle of Wight Rock Festival, a phenomenon was born. One lone American female uttered the words "Where's Wally?" Her words and accent were mimicked by the surrounding crowd and soon formed into a chant that would be repeated at UK concerts and festivals for the following 10 years.

I was with Wally and his friends when he disappeared and when he returned two days later. They flew back to America and I always wondered what became of him. Was he aware of his fame or that he was probably the inspiration for the "Where's Wally?" books illustrated by Martin Handford 17 years later?

With the aid of Artificial Intelligence, I finally managed to transfer my 55 year old memory of him into a digital format. You can view the image and read my account of how it all began at https://www.beanweb.net/wally/index.htm

If Wally is still alive, he is probably aged mid to late 70's and living in America. I would love to hear from him or his friends from the festival. Can you help to FIND WALLY?
