Ya know, the album's not that bad. Yes, it's (quote fingers) slick (quote fingers ended). But directed at 13 year olds? Uh, I don't think the lyrics are gonna work with 13 year olds.

What's so bad about Liz wanting to grow her fan base? I mean, shit, she's got an excellent voice and excellent music; if this album brings more people to her older stuff, I'll consider it a success. And more power to her for wanting to make money -- it's hardly as bubblegum Avril as people are saying. Listen to the lyrics. She's still edgy Liz, overall.

the lyrics suck on this album! "why can't i breathe whenever i think about you?" it's not about liz releasing a POP album, it's about her releasing a BAD album. how can someone who wrote "canary" or "divorce song" or "stratford on guy" when she was like 25, write "favorite" from the new album after TEN YEARS of life experience? that's the problem--if it was a pop album of interesting lyrics and stories and ideas, it would be fine. the fact that it's a pop album FILLED with lyrics like "it's an itch we know we are gonna scratch/gonna take awhile for this egg to hatch" is what's annoying.
