Subject: Something I noticed ('3-T-T')

When Oscar picks up the tuna melt at that restaurant (the first time, after the art showing), it's not Matthew's hands. Now, I wonder, was this because the director/producer/whoever didn't want to show his missing fingertip that prominantly on camera? Or is it maybe because Matthew felt uncomfortable about it?

I know when I go to the pool, I do not have a water proof prosthesis to wear, so I am noticeably 'lopsided', and I am incredibly self conscious about it.

For those reading this who don't know, I am missing my left breast. Well, actually, I know where it is, so technically, it's not missing, it's just no longer attached to my body. Sorry, bad inside/family joke.

Anyway... I always feel really self conscious, to the point where I even wear a t-shirt over top of my suit, even when in the water. So, I guess it's possible that Matthew himself felt awkward about it, but, if it was the director/etc, etc... I kinda think that's, well, wrong.

His missing fingertip detracts nothing from his abilities or appeal, and to use a hand double kind of implies that it's something that needs to be hidden away.

If it was Matthew's decision, then, well, I can relate. If it was someone else's decision, then I think that it is THAT mentality that makes people like me WANT to hide away our imperfections!

Ok, me and my freakin' soap box, huh? I'll shut up now.

MTLBYAKY

Jana~
