That was very telling - as he said, his films do get some good reviews but its the personal insulting ones which are the only ones he remembers. I do think that is true for most people- it's a rare kind of person who can read a bad, attacking review/opinion about themselves and turn around and say "screw' em" without being affected on some level. It is a shame for someone like Matthew who is affected by these, that he is a popular and easy target for the common press when they want a cheap gag - there was even a joke about him and rehab in TIME magazine this week for god's sake - now that's low. But it's a sign of the man that he never speaks out or says a bad word against anyone, which would be the easy option. With the situation with the other Bing - he could easily have launched a scathing attack on the way Steve Bing has treated liz, his son and Matthew himself but he kept quiet - leaving the facts to speak for themselves.
