That comment rachel made a few years back about lifting phoebe right out of the group is true. I do agree that she is underused as she is not "in the loop" of emotional commitments or family relations etc. the one who personally I could do without would be ..hate to say this...either of the gellars. they way their characters have evolved has not been positive - i find both ross and monica whiny and annoying, however they are central to the group unfortunately.
Actually I could happily watch friends without any one of the cast apart from the obvious person but I'm not a friends fan as such so I'm proably not qualified to reply to this lol.
and yes I would watch a 10th season - but possibly with even less interest as I have watched the last couple - it all depends on the storylines.
My hope for season 9? more chandler and phoebe, less awful and contrite love trianges.
