This is not true. I made the decision... period.

I informed the chain of command, nothing more. You really should do something about that ego of yours. ;)

Oh, MY decision to build the scriptures was mine alone. (well, to heed the leading of the Spirit of God was mine) The need for it has been expressed by many who do not even come to the board. Believe it or not, the webboard is NOT that influential... sorry. We were looking into gaining some volunteers to help and form committees and all that stuff and I decided to do it myself and use it as a way for ME to become more scripturally literate. (selfish... may God forgive me.) It excites me that God has given me this opportunity. I have spent most of my thanksgiving break on placing each individual verse of the Book of Mormon (1908 HA!), Doctrine and Covenants (Through 161) and the Inspired Version (Only through Genesis so far) I have the King James Version and the American Standard version (public domain) in a database already.

I am so excited because I am learning allot. I am hoping to index and cross reference scriptures throughout the three standard books. I am planning to build a description of people in the scripture so when a name is displayed it will be a link to an explanation of who the person is. This is especially exciting for the D&C section in that I can link the biography information from the church history volumes. This will help people want to learn more about our rich and blessed history.

Another cool feature (eventually) will be "my own scripture site". This will allow users (yes, even you Kathy) to create a personal account so that you can enter your own book marks and comments to the scripture. When you run across a verse that you have commented on, you will be reminded with an icon that you have a personal comment/note. I am planning to make it so you can search your comments and print verses with or without your comments. Neat huh? (And no, it is not going to be accessible by ANYONE, including me.)

It is a HUGE undertaking but the Lord (Yes Joe, the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of Almighty God, born of the Virgin Mary and savior of you and me.) has blessed me with strength, knowledge and patience to take on such a task. I am grateful for this and I am doing it for His glory, praise and to help fill my commitment to be His servant.

For your information Kathy, it is the Lord who has placed this on my heart to accomplish. Not the drivel of the webboard, not a person at HQ and not even you. It is the lost I hope to reach. It is the scripturally illiterate I hope to help. And it is my sincere hope, in faith, that God will use these tools to help people hear that still small voice that is His. Help them learn about God and the sacrifice of His Son. And through this, be ENCOURAGED to give their lives to Almighty God.

P.S. Thank you Cezoram for making my point and demonstrating clearly why a reasonable debate with you is impossible. LOL Someday, when you grow up and quit relying on name calling and baseless accusation, perhaps you can find reasonable adults to converse with. Just not me, life is too short and the Lord has a "good" work for me to do. C'ya
