Another part of Grant's sermon which disturbed me is:

"All of this is hard, but still we must seek to give voice to that which causes division between us, to remove the barriers that keep us from being brothers and sisters."

Give a voice to those things that divide? What sense does this make? If you give a voice to those things that divide you, those things will only divide you further. You cannot remove barriers, if you give a voice to those barriers, and allow them to be more prevalent. Such an idea of giving a voice is rather ridiculous.

If a person really wants to remove barriers, he must work at silencing those things that divide, even to the point where those things have been eliminated.
