Subject: pickled bologna

Has anyone heard of a recipe called Pickled Bologna? If so I would love to have it.

PICKLED BOLOGNA

1 ring bologna
1 pt. vinegar
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. pickling spice

Mix vinegar, sugar, salt, and pickling spice in a jar. Cut bologna in chunks and add to the vinegar mixture. Seal jar and let stand for 3 days before eating. Does not need to be refrigerated.

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
1 c White vinegar
1/2 c Water
1/4 c White sugar
1/8 ts Salt
1 tb Mixed pickling spices
1 md Onion, sliced
1 Ring bologna, cut into
-2-3 inch pieces

Mix together first 5 ingredients and boil for 8
minutes; cool. Put bologna and onions in large glass
jar. Pour vinegar mixture over bologna. Refrigerate
overnight before serving. Store in refrigerator.

I did do the second one and could not wait to try it. yum yum it is good and the longer it set the better. I ate it with crackers. I also put a layer of sliced onion and then a layer of bologna until the jar was full. It does make a great party snack. Thanks for the recipe.
