Subject: Recipes for Oatmeal Master Mix

OATMEAL MUFFINS
1 egg
2/3 cup milk
3 cups OATMEAL MASTER MIX
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Butter muffin pans. Put the OATMEAL MASTER
MIX
in a medium bowl. Combine egg and milk in a small bowl. Add all at once
to
OATMEAL MASTER MIX. Stir until just moistened: batter should be lumpy.
Fill
prepared muffin pans 2/3 full. Bake 15 or 20 minutes until golden brown.
Makes 12 large muffins.

OAT PANCAKES
1 1/2 cups OATMEAL MASTER MIX
1 cup water
1 egg, slightly beaten
In a medium bowl, combine OATMEAL MASTER MIX, water and egg. Blend well.
Let
stand 5 minutes. Cook on a hot oiled griddle about 3 to 4 minutes, until
browned on both sides. Makes 12 to 15 4-inch pancakes

OATMEAL COOKIES
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
3 cups OATMEAL MASTER MIX
1/teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 treaspoon cloves
1/2 cup raisins
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease baking sheets. In a small
bowl,
combine milk, vanilla and egg. Put OATMEAL MASTER MIX, cinnamon and
cloves in
a medium bowl.Add liquid ingredients all at once and stir until just
blended.
Stir in raisins. Drop by teaspoonsful onto prepared baking sheet's. Bake
10
or 15 minutes, until edges are browned. Cool cookies on wire racks.
Makes
about 24 cookies

PEACH BLOSSOM DESSERT
2 1/2 cups OATMEAL MASTER MIX
1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 (21 oz) can peach pie filling
Ice cream or whipped cream, if desired
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly grease an 8 inch square pan.
Combine
OATMEAL MASTER MIX and brown sugar in a medium bowl. Press half of
mixture
into prepared pan. Pour peach pie filling over top. Crumble remaining
half of
oatmeal mixture over the peach filling. Bake 30 minutes, until lightlly
brown. Cut into large squares. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped
cream.
Makes 8 to 10 servings.
Variation: Substitue French apple pie filling for peach pie filling.
