In reply to: Cadeirin 's message, "Re: The Journey" on 19:18:33 07/23/00 Sun

After speaking to Corwen, he turns his head back to Cadeirin and listens closely. Then his frown once again turns into the smile you all know him to normally have on and says, "That was my first time in a dwarven city as well," he then lowers his voice so only Corwen, Cadeirin and himself can hear, "And I didn't care much for it, either." He smirks.

He then continues listening to the conversation and replies, "Well, the was no true reason to speak to the being. Just to see if it was hostile, and perhaps make a friend, I guess. Besides, I had no chance of hiding in the shrubs all night long. Look at me." He joking opens his arms and looks down his big body. He gives a little snicker and continues, "Anyway, my best chance was to approach him, and if the need came, run." He smirks. "I'd have a better position to run if standing straight up than I would crouched and hidden."

He then asks, "What made you hide from the being, instead of taking the chance to make a friend? Not everyone or thing is evil in this world, you know." He pauses for a moment and then continues, "You must approach with caution at first. Otherwise, you may end up slaying a potential ally in the time to come." He frowns once again, remembering what he thought to be a slaughter with the creatures on the hill. He then continues to look around at the small inexperienced party, "Eldath and Mielikki know this, and we would be wise to know this as well."

He then sighs and looks to the night sky. While staring at the stars, a single tear forms in his eyes as he seems to begin to remember something else. Wiping it off, he lowers his head back down and looks back to Corwen, "So, what say you?" Once again, with a grin upon his face.
