There are many differences in the time period that we are reading about versus our current time period. The most obvious difference is how the country is run. During the romantic period, the country is run by kings and aristorcrats. The wariors are knights and the common people are hard working citizens. Most likely, the King and aristocrats are most likely educated. It is possible that some knights have an education. The common people most likely do not have an education.
