Subject: Louisiana reveals secret PPPs for 2004

DATELINE: BATON ROUGE... in keeping with this less than stellar season, bizarre rumors are circulating that the brain trust of the Beast franchise developed the game plans that led directly to a 3 - 7 record after week 10. Seems they deemed it necessary to put 14 points on the scoreboard B4 the game even starts. That way, the fans wouldn't notice the players trotting to and leaving the club house at odd intervals for the 1st half. Local gin mill-type establishments would neither confirm nor deny the presence and/or behaviour of Beast personnel for nights preceding game days. Meanwhile, having already used the fumble and interception and sacks and the "fake punt pass" ruses, another page of the playbook revealed itself this week: the "blocked punt at our own 10 yard line" play. This naturally put 7 points on the scoreboard B4 1:30 had elapsed in the game. This quickly accellerated to a 17 - 0 lead in keeping with 2004 PPPs. The team benefits with cofers overflowing from the concession stand profits for Louisiana contests league-wide. The league office had no comment to repeated inquiries. Louisiana spokes people were nowhere to be found... at least within the confines of team facilities. Further unfounded rumors are that the opening kick off next week will be returned for TD by the opposing team. Stay tuned!
